HOW IT WORKS

Azalea Hills uses the most advanced sublimation printing technology and equipment available to produce beautiful reproductions of your favorite photos onto a variety of ceramic products.

Step 1: Square, Vertical, or Horizontal Alignment?

The tile we print your photos onto is perfectly square. If you want your photo to fit squarely on the tile (see example on left), some cropping may be necessary.

If your photos are not already square, please indicate whether you would like your photo cropped to fit the tile squarely or to print your photo as is.

In some cases, cropping a photo square will cut off too much of the photo. In which case a horizontal or vertical alignment may be necessary.

Step 2: Resolution/Format

The higher the resolution of the image, the more crisp the photo will appear on the tile. If you will be sending your photos in a digital format via the internet, please send them in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

If you will be sending your photos by mail for us to scan, remember that increasing the size of the photo by more than 100% will decrease the quality of the reproduction. For example, if you submit a photo that is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" it could be enlarged to fit a 4 1/4" tile but would not be recommended to use on a 6" x 6" tile.

Step 3: Send us your photos

There are 3 options for getting us your photos:

Standard Mail
Mail your photos to us via US Mail, UPS, Fed-Ex, or Airborne Express. Please indicate on the back of the photo(s) which product(s) you would like the image transferred onto.

If you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope we will be happy to return your photo in its original condition.

This Web site
If the combined file sizes of your digital images is less than 5 MB, you can send us your photos via the site's Order Form.

Whale Mail
If your combined file size is more than 5 MB, you can use a free service called Whale Mail to send us your images.

Whale Mail is a free web-based file transfer service designed to let users move large files quickly, right from your browser. Send multiple files (up to 75 MB), and store them for up to 14 days.

Here's what you do:
1. Go to WhaleMail.com
2. Sign Up
3. Log-in
4. Upload your file(s) (up to 75MB) and store it in your file directory (files are stored for 14 days from upload).
5. Where it asks for recipient email address, type "order@azaleahills.com" and hit "SEND."

It's that easy. Once you hit "Send," WhaleMail forwards an email message to us informing us that you have sent your photos. We will then retrieve them and transfer them onto the product(s) of your choice.

Note: There may be some color variances between the orignal photograph and the finished product.

Also, photos taken by a commercial photographer require a release in writing from the photographer before printing.
